Really fabulous base for exploring the city. Quaint little and popular hotel in a very nice area right by the center of the main square in Haarlem, and a prominent square, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Very helpful and efficient staff, free wake up service and ironing available. Magnificent and stunning location relatively near a main cathedral

The breakfast was 🥐 delicious, with fresh bread and yummy omelets! The room felt small and was a bit too hot, but the comfy bed helped a bit.

We were there for exploring the city, and had a really nice time. Popular and exceptionally clean place, everything was nice. There was plenty of food for breakfast, including tea, fruit juices, croissants, bread and yoghourt.

My room was tiny with a blocked drain. It's all good though, I managed.

Great location with access to trains, in a quaint old village. Simple, yet sufficient rooms with nice staff, good breakfast and privacy.
The Wifi connection had to be renewed each day and often did not even last for 24 hours. This was inconvenient as well as a nuisance. When the owner was present he was quite loud in the main dining area making it hard to enjoy the company of self and other. He was less hospitable than his wife and the other main desk help. He might be best leaving that up to the women!

Friendly and helpful staff. Central location. Quiet, comfortable room. And - (don't laugh, many hotels skimp here) - better quality toilet paper than the Hilton!
Breakfast choice somewhat limited, but adequate, given overall price level.

The location of the Amadeus is perfect if shopping's your thing. It's central and very close to the train station too. My single room was tiny, with a dreadful shower, but otherwise ok. If I'd been staying any longer than one night, I'd probably have been pretty dissatisfied with the standard but for an overnight stay, I couldn't really complain. The staff were helpful in an offhand kind of way. You could tell they wouldn't particularly go out of their way to do something for you, but if you asked for something, you got a kind of answer. Internet connection was fast and login was very easy, something quite important to me. All in all, the best I can say, is the Amadeus was ok. I'd stay here again for a night or two, but no longer.
Didn't particularly dislike anything.

clean room, excellent mattress, central square view
Rooms are uncomfortably hot with just a tiny fan!!! WiFi connection unreliable and the shower fittings look like they haven't been updated since the 1970s!!! A heads-up about early morning noise would be appreciated!!!

Excellent view of the Grote Markt from our room at the front of the hotel. Free internet access and Wi Fi a bonus. Traditional Dutch dining room overlooking the square. Good buffet breakfast.
Indifferent staff. So-called lounge was the breakfast room.

There was no elevator from street level to the first floor reception. However, as we were leaving, the staff, very kindly, allowed us to take the elevator down to the bar on the ground floor just as it was opening. We appreciated not having to lug heavy bags down those stairs. The location was fantastic, right on Grote Markt and breakfast on the first floor gave a view of the town going about its every day business as usual.
Not having stairs from ground level was a problem as my daughter who was travelling with me had a problem with her knee for the last few days of our trip.
